Photography, for me, has always been one of the most powerful art mediums. Since it’s a medium that captures reality, we almost never doubt its authenticity. Ever since I discovered photo manipulations, I have been forever fascinated by the way we can alternate our reality.
In my images, I try to push the legitimacy of the digital image by creating something completely unreal. I really like to play with the idea of bringing different pieces of reality together to create a new one. Sort of like a puzzle. At first glance, these images seem like a capture of reality, but the more we look at them, we more they are questionable. It is that thin line between realism and surrealism that I am looking to emphasize in the visual stories that I tell.
